This just in: awesome Firehouse 12 menu!

*UPDATE* 1/23/16
We've had to postpone at Firehouse 12 due to that pesky blizzard. BUT, we'll be there as scheduled next Saturday (1/30) and another Saturday to be announced.

By now, you've heard the good news: we're taking over the kitchen at Firehouse 12 for the next two Saturdays. Come in from the cold and have some farm-fresh food at one of our favorite bars in town. And while you're at, have an excellent Firehouse 12 cocktail, a beer, or a half-price bottle of wine. Never mind the storm, we're got a great menu in the works. 

Firehouse Special Cheeseburger
Fresh ground beef from Blue Slope Farms, topped with farmstead cheese.
Topped with roasted garlic, tomato, and bacon spread.
Served on a brioche bun.

Stout-Cooked Pulled Chicken Sandwich
Pasture-raised chicken from Truelove Farms, slow roasted in Thimble Island Brewing Coffee Stout.*
Topped with sweet honey cole slaw.
Served on a brioche bun.
House-made Coffee Stout BBQ sauce on the side.

*By the way, did you know that Thimble Island uses coffee roasted locally at Willoughby's for its Coffee Stout? Way to go, Connecticut-made foods!

Four-Cheese Mac & Cheese
Featuring a special blend of cheeses from Sankow's Beaver Brook Farm, Beltane Farm, and Cato Corner.

Hearty Bean Chili (Vegan!)
With a mix of beans from Stone Gardens Farm, a selection of Connecticut-grown winter veggies, and a bit of spice.

Doors open at 6. Get there early and have a drink while start cooking. See you there!
